FORMAT: [box-pressed]
ORIGEN: Dominican, Nicaraguan, Colombian
INTENSITY: Medium-full
NOTES:
Hickory | Chicory | Pecan
Spicy feels more-so than tastes. Somewhat puckering. Sleek. Benign strong-arm steerings. Quite the hickory showcase, spiced in a hot cider manner. Excellently delineated on account of that forward wood. There’s also a chicory coffee with the former way on-out in-front of the latter. A bit stiff, a tick bit more elegant. Stuffy, in a perhaps overly formal manner. The meat on its bones is lean muscle. A pilates class low-calorie creaminess. Transitional not frenetic. Nuanced, not burying. White & black peppercorn.
There are edges but not aggressively-so. Svelte-stealth. Brisk. Honeysuckle lightens the mood some, swirling in the midsection. Some dark fruits, non-descript and dried/drying. That puckering–it becomes an obvious lemon candy come the 2/3d. As if we needed more spryness. Picture a lovely piano, a classic neat upright, freshly over-polished w/ lemon pledge. If you touch it, a brusk butler forcefully sprays/wipes. No eye contact. EXCUSE ME, SIR &/or MADAM. he says. You then sit up straight and do not touch the piano again.
The calm hand of a classic experience can be at times off-putting or at least not a thing to be comfortable around. This is not comfort food, an easy chair, nor is it even easy. But it is worth it. Performance-wise, there is no challenge. An easy draw, an almost perfect burn-line. A toothy, clingy sheath of ash. Cosmetically, the press does round-some. Big smoke out-put results in spiced-leathery room-note after a complex aroma on pair with a complex palate. Apple Butter and applewood begin as a late-coming sniff, then taste.

Dr Oscar Rodriguez –
Osvaldo hit it right on the head with this Smoking pleasure experience, very complex and composed, well elaborated and tuned for the journey, sublime notes of pecans and hickory creaminess deliver. I am always impressed with this man’s tobacco vernacular!
omcigars –
Dr. Rodriguez, your words always carry a special weight. Not only are you a close friend, but you’re also a masterful cigar maker in your own right — which makes your appreciation for the complexity and balance of this blend even more meaningful. When someone with your craft, palate, and experience highlights the pecan‑like creaminess and that touch of hickory, it tells me the blend reached exactly where it was intended.
I truly value the way you observe and articulate tobacco with such precision. It’s an honor to share this journey with you, both as friends and as makers dedicated to the leaf.

🔥 OM Cigars Essential Blend No. 6 (Box Pressed)
💰 MSRP: $20
Smell – Creamy and nutty, downright inviting.
Cold Draw – Sweetness upfront with a light creamy backdrop.
1st Third – Opens with a strong nuttiness layered over a soft floral note in the background. Retrohale carries more nuttiness, while the palate leans into creaminess. Settles into a balanced mix of woodsy and nutty flavors.
2nd Third – Smooth transition into woodsy tones and light spice. Retrohale brings out a clean woodsy note, while the palate picks up cream and a sweet spice. It settles beautifully into sweet spice with light woodsy notes and a faint creaminess trailing on the finish.
Final Third – Another seamless transition, this time circling back to woodsy and nutty flavors. Retrohale highlights nuttiness, while the palate captures creamy and lightly floral tones. Rich, refined, and satisfying all the way through.
Final Thoughts – Truly blown away by the quality and complexity here. OM Cigars delivered yet again with a phenomenal smoking experience. I could easily see this pairing with a fine whiskey or bourbon. Essential No. 6 has earned a permanent spot in my humidor, and if you haven’t tried OM Cigars yet, this one proves why you should.

Thank you for this incredible breakdown. The way you walked through every stage—from that creamy, nutty aroma all the way to the refined final third—felt like watching someone narrate a slow, elegant dance. Essential No. 6 was crafted for exactly that kind of smooth progression, and you captured it beautifully.
Hearing that the transitions hit clean, the retrohale stayed honest, and the profile stayed rich from start to finish… that’s the kind of feedback that reminds us why we obsess over every leaf. And the fact that it earned a permanent spot in your humidor—that’s the highest compliment any maker can receive.
Pairing it with a fine whiskey or bourbon is a ceremony I fully support. You clearly understand how to set the mood.
Thank you again for giving the No. 6 its flowers and for sharing such a thoughtful, refined review. May every one you light up treat you just as well.
For the culture, always.

Warren Henry –
This Cigar was outstanding. Excellent flavor profile. The draw was outstanding. I enjoyed this with a clean pallet. This is a must try. I highly recommend this cigar.

Warren, thank you for this powerful breakdown. When someone leads with “outstanding” twice, I know the blend did exactly what it was created to do. The Essential No. 6 was built for that clean‑palate moment where every note shows up with confidence, and I’m glad it delivered from first draw to last.
Hearing you call it a must‑try and highly recommend it—that’s the kind of feedback that keeps the whole team fired up. Truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Next time you light one up, may it hit just as smooth.
For the culture, always.
