Although it’s only been a few months since Osvaldo Morales first project, it feels like I’ve been waiting for decades. I, like many of you, am a huge fan of Osvaldo Morales other blends. Essential Blend No.1 is still in my regular rotation, and there are few things finer than an No.1 paired with a hot mug of coffee. But I’m greedy, and I want more. Well, finally, that wait is over. Osvaldo Morales Essential Blend No.4 is here, and burning one of these feels like coming home from a long trip.

Use the technical details to guide the next choice

Compare Essential Blend No. 4 against the closest O.M. route
Existing box-press category; San Andrés capa; aged selected tobaccos
Expect earth, dark sweetness, and deeper texture. That gives a more reliable buying signal than a broad guess based only on strength.

if you’re looking for cigars for an event , or for personal consumption , OM cigars is your way to go . I recommend the no.3 for guys who like a slightly spicy profile with incredible complexity , or if you like a dark, rich , espresso flavor go with the no.4 . Osvaldo is more than just another cigar brand owner, he wants to share his knowledge and passion with others that want to absorb information. A true gentleman and professional

Luigi, this means a lot. When someone recommends the blends not just for personal enjoyment but for events — moments that matter — that’s a level of trust I never take lightly. Your breakdown of No. 3 and No. 4 is spot‑on, and hearing you share those nuances with others is an honor in itself.
Thank you for the kind words about my approach to the craft. Sharing knowledge and passion is part of the journey, and it’s people like you who make that exchange worthwhile. I appreciate you more than you know.
Cigar Test Ride –
Smell gives off a nice spice aroma with almost a hint of espresso to me. Beautifully wrapped with a great looking band. Zero flaws that I could see
Cold gives a nice spice feel with even maybe a tiny earth or woodsy feel.
Retro gives me a light spice with a little floral in there.
First couple drawers will hit you with pepper as the floral starts to develop after a couple. The four is surprisingly, a nice touch the spice and thorough balance each other out nicely. I was a little shocked to taste a little floral in there. Very nice smoke output.
first third is a nice dance of spice and floral as noted with a little dash of earth or laziness in there once in a blue moon that just play beautifully off each other.
Very smooth transition into the second third. The floral has dropped out a little bit and right now I’m sitting with a nice spice and woodsy balance. The ash is holding on strong. Retro hail is still sitting with a nice mild spice. At this point a little cream seemed to open up. Just enough to get a little taste. About halfway in the spice has taken a backseat and it seems that floral is picking up again with that little cream being touch and go.
Transitioning into the final third floral and a little bit of that spice is coming back, but also another smooth transition. Retro hail at this point gives off a floral and woodsy element. My next draw after that retro hail that little touch of cream hit me again. Just such good nodes of floral in the cigar. Was not expecting the floral was blown away by it. And it was the floral that was truly the highlight of this cigar for me with the backing of the spices, the woodsy, the touch of earth and cream.
This is a little bit longer of a review. This is also the first time I’ve ever experienced this craft cigar company, very blown away by the quality that they have put into this. Looking forward to trying the others if this is the expectations.

What a ride of a review — you took that cigar on a full pilgrimage and brought us along for every floral, spicy, creamy step. The way you broke down those transitions… that’s the kind of attention a craft blend dreams of earning.
That floral note catching you off guard and then becoming the star of the show? That’s the magic we all chase — when a cigar decides to reveal a side you weren’t expecting and suddenly you’re nodding like, “Alright… I see what you’re doing.”
The spice, the wood, the earth, the cream popping in and out like a guest appearance — you captured the whole dance beautifully. And hearing that this was your first experience with the company and it left you blown away… that’s the kind of feedback that keeps small-batch makers grinding with pride.
Thank you for taking the time to sit with it, study it, and share it with this level of detail. If this one set the bar for you, you’re in for a fun journey with the rest of their lineup.
